Wiggle Worm

Cailyn is getting so big! Today I put her in the swing and for the first time she tried to wiggle out! I usually just wrap her and then lay her in it without straps because she never moves but today she did. Thankfully I caught her just in the nick of time. From now on if it has a strap, she's getting strapped in. We finally started sending out pictures so if you didn't get one I apologize. Cailyn was just very photogenic one day and we thought these particular photos would be the ones to send out.

Enjoying the Sun!

I can hardly believe that Cailyn is already 3 months. She is so much fun and shows us more and more of her personality every minute. We are constantly being entertained by her as she now smiles like it's going out of style.

Lately we have been enjoying evening walks in the park and it gives her plenty of time outside and it helps her to unwind into her evening nap, most of the time. She's a little nature baby. Being outside pretty much calms her instantly and lucky for her its been staying pretty warm during the day.

Yesterday Cailyn had a bit of an off day and it seemed nothing Ian and I could do pleased her. But there were some calm, peaceful moments and they took the form of a sleeping beauty! I love when Cailyn naps. Not only do I get a break but I get to gaze upon my beautiful daughter. It means so much to me to be able to watch her as she sleeps with all the noises she makes and the way she has her mouth slightly opened. So although she gets grouchy, the joke is on her because she still makes me smile :)

Almost 3 Months!

Hello to everyone! Sorry for the delay in updates but I have been completely occupied by Cailyn and my new goal, beating Ian at Mario Party. :)
This week has been an exhausting one! I have spoiled Cailyn to the point of no return and have learned the error of my ways. She hasn't slept by herself since I managed to get her fully latched on almost two months ago. Even when its not nighttime she is sleeping in my arms. So Ian and I made the decision that its high time she start sleeping by herself. So we have been putting her in the bassinet for every nap and bedtime. She really does not like sleeping by herself. Its really hard for me and perhaps I am having a little detachment issues but I know it must be done. Today is the first time she has slept longer half an hour on her own. Hopefully things keep going this way!

On another note Cailyn is getting so big! She will be 3 months on Sunday and wow how time flies! She is taking showers with me now which she really prefers over baths by herself. She is talking up a storm now and coo's and goo's constantly. She has the biggest smile every time she wakes up and every time you smile at her it seems as though her eyes light up. We have upped the tummy time which has been hard for me because I hate to see her cry but she is getting much stronger and can now roll over. She tried a new pacifier today called a soothie and she seems to be enjoying it so far. We have decided to give it the name lolli, instead of binky or nuk, etc. And she is now wearing a size 2 diaper!

Its so exciting to see her get bigger everyday and watch her experience everything new in life. I know that these baby days will go by way to fast. For now I am just enjoying all the little noises that she makes. :)

In the past few days Cailyn has become quite thee pampered baby. LOL. We could blame it on Daddy but then we wouldn't be telling the truth. ;) My ways of spoiling the child are backfiring on me! Miss Cailyn has me walking her around non-stop, and catering to her every whim which is mainly walking her around!

She has however found a new past time. Danny took her outside and put her on the swing and she is calm as ever when she is outside. She loves it. We have also discovered that Cailyn loves Baby Genius DVDs. She will lay there for minutes on end watching the colors and listening to classical music (which my legs and back appreciate greatly)


We have also discovered that she prefers Daddy changing her over Mommy and will kick and smile with delight afterward proving once again that its all about the little things in life!


So for now we are just enjoying the weather that seems to be warming up by the day and watching our baby Cailyn get bigger and bigger with every blink.
